  1. We have liberated the border! There are no more nation-states! One world! Holy, holy, holy, holy, holy, holy! ….Holy! No more nationalistic oppression! It’s gone! There’s one people, one world, one heart, one soul, one poetry, one mythology, one cosmology, one love, one flag! Ahhhhhhhhhh…. be free of this thing! It’s like centuries of oppression GONE! Gone, gone, bury that flag! That’s the thing that has caused us to be crazy! Crazy! Here, here, put rocks on it! Dust! Get rid of it! Throw it in your trash can, bury it, let it go back to nature, let it go to Mother Earth! Fall to Mother Earth! Fall to planet, go to Gaia, go….let it be free! So that we can truly expand the cosmos in peace, in love, in harmony! All nations, all races, all people together, expanding into the cosmos! Yes! That is the way, bury that flag! Bury it!

  2. Now, I can’t admit I have much experience with what our border looks like, but notice behind her there is a low fence that anybody could just step over to cross. What’s going on with that then!

The idea of no nation states is nice, but can be harmful. I fear that one of two things would happen: One, all of the wonderful national identities people hold would be destroyed if we made it into one mush with no identity, meaning a loss of individuality. Two, I cannot comprehend what culture would take shape, and that would cause heated culture wars that break out into bloody civil wars unseen before. People in one area have a new reason to hate people in another area, and without nation states brokering peace between each other with food or monetary buyouts (cough, cough), the people will decide to fight. It may simply require the disestablishment of all religions for a united country to work — but how would theocratic nations handle places that more of less merely acknowledge religion with a head nod, like some of Scandanavia? Remember, it’s all under the same roof now.

On the other hand, no nation states means geography class would finally be passable for half the kids in today’s schools. No Child Left Behind indeed!
