If you’re in the mood for a road-trip, you can get the answer to that and other questions about cannabis in the medical world at a University of Arizona College of Medicine presentation next month in Phoenix.
Sue Sisley, M.D., a clinical faculty member in internal medicine and psychiatry at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center and an assistant professor of telemedicine at UA, will address the topic at 5:50 p.m., Oct. 11 at the Phoenix Theater,
100 E. McDowell Avenue.

Prior to demonizing in 1937, doctors and pharmacists were comfortable dispensing a tincture of Indian hemp or cannabis for toothaches, pre-menstrall pain and to ease the pain of childbirth, among others.
The reason the power structure doesn’t want any change is that they’ve got a pretty good deal the way it is for an unholy alliance of Big Pharma, the criminal justice system, private prison profits, alcohol and tobacco and all the feeders of such an arrangement. They can keep arresting people, running them through the criminal “justice” system, targeting minorities and ruining people’s lives.
The previous comment should have read “menstrual”, not menstrall.
WebMD is a very respectable medical site. The quote from the first article settles the question-
Marijuana May Slow Alzheimer’s (news – 2006)
http://www.webmd.com/alzheimers/news/20061006/marijuana-may-slow-alzheimers
“The Alzheimer’s drugs Aricept and Cognex work by blocking acetylcholinesterase. When tested at double the concentration of THC, Aricept blocked plaque formation only 22% as well as THC, and Cognex blocked plaque formation only 7% as well as THC.”
The rest of these are just to drive the point home!
