For the Coming year, and always, we can Honor Jesus Christ via the emulation of his Advice. The His Life is a veritable paradigm that the very Nature of Human Society involves an Inherent Relatedness, Commonality, and Mutual Dependence.
He was a Great Social Reformer. He recognized the Inherent Diversity in Human Society and advised others to accept/respect this diversity; Love your Neighbor as yourself by helping others when assistance is necessary.
But, there was a Active Tough side to this Social Reformer as well as indicated by his Forcible Rejection of those who are Cheating Others as unacceptable in Society.
Countries, including our own and, particularly, those to our South, have Economies and Physical Space that can support a limited number of People.
The Catholic Church should be far more Politically Active in their Criticism of Corrupt Governments and in their Support of Political Activism by Citizens in Resisting and Changing these Governments; that the primary focus of Government is the development of Citizens primarily through Public Education and Health Care including the consequences of Overpopulation and Methods for Control.
In Emulating of the Life of Jesus Christ, and assisting Countries to move in the Direction of a Social Democracy, the need to immigrate will be greatly reduced.
