Arizona Congressman Raúl Grijalva was arrested during an immigrants’ rights protest in front of Trump Tower Tuesday morning, along with U.S. Reps. Adriano Espaillat (D-NY) and Luis Gutierrez (D-IL)
“I stood in front of Trump Tower today with a whole lot of DREAMers, immigrants and Americans to say enough to Trump and his criminalization of our immigrant communities,” he posted on Facebook shortly before being arrested.
Grijalva was sitting in the street below Trump Tower with other demonstrators, holding a banner advocating for DACA recipients when he was taking into custody by the New York Police Department with his hands zip tied behind his back.
A representative from Grijalva’s office said the congressman was released several hours after the arrest and now faces charges of disorderly conduct with other charges pending, according to Tucson News Now. They also reported the lawmakers had intended to get arrested at the protest.

He is as pitiful as Maxine Waters screaming for impeachment. When will these two grow up and display some leadership qualities? Probably never.
Clown official of Clownworld is arrested for aggravated clownery. Film at 11.
What an embarassment.
I’m not always his biggest fan, but at least he has the cojones to stand up for what’s right and not listen to whining, semi-literate white trash
.
Raul the Fool strikes again. If he would work half as hard for Arizona as he does for Mexico, we’d all be better off.
Raul Grijalva is a man of principle. Those who vilify him apparently do not understand that the American Revolution and its resulting Constitution and later the Bill of Rights were reactions against government that was inhumane and no at all considerate of human values and their protections.
Is it disorderly conduct to participate in a demonstration against government policy? No. Is is “Disorderly Conduct” to disrupt traffic by sitting down in a road and hold a sign. Where does free expression and “order” intersect is a question for the courts based on a case to case basis in many instances.
I, as a newly cognoscente democrat, dropping my Republican affiliation a few years back, do not agree with Raul all the time, but admire the direction in which he leads. Staying aware of our freedoms and the direction in which the Trump Republicans would lead often needs to be highlighted with action.. Which action and participation is an individual choice and this action on his part shows he is both compassionate, and hints he is aware of what appears to be a major breach of the emoluments clause of the Consitution.
Dream on.
Grijalva, Gutierrez, etc. are motivated by one concern – increasing the number of their co-ethnics in this country to increase the voting power of their ethnic group. In no sense do they work for the good of the nation as a whole. They are tribal leaders who work to advance the interests of their tribe, and they are explicit about this.
Raul Grijalva is a hero! He not only talks the talk, he walks the walk. In this case, he sits-in.
He offers up his own comforts for the betterment of others.
He is the most selfless, brave, committed person in politics.
A hero ain’t nothing but a sandwich. And judging by the size of him, Raul the Fool could down a half dozen of them easy.
Grijalva is a Pied Piper who, along with other Left Wingers, is responsible for thousands of deaths of those who died illegally coming here, thousands of children who were sold into sexual slavery, hundreds of thousands who were raped, and ten million or more who now fear deportation.
Guess What?
For two decades, Grijalva’s support for Pro-Raza Open Border policy, or “aiding and abetting, enticing and inviting or otherwise encouraging the illegal entry of Mexico’s poor for economic and political exploitation” has created misery that is un-measurable in its dimensions, billions of dollars of extra profit for fat-cat republican employers looking to drive down the value of labor, and 95% of the case load (EMPLOYMENT) for the judges employed in Arizona’s District Courts, for which they are GRATEFUL.
Read the Walrus and the Carpenter. Of course the Mexican poor are the young oysters who leave their oyster beds only to be eaten.
How else did Grijalva get so fat?
If only, Rastool, would be convicted of this offense and his sentence was, no more involvement in any political office. I can only sit here and wish.
