Rodney Glassman wants to beat John McCain from The Rachel Maddow Show on Vimeo.
Remember when Rachel Maddow Show producers visited the border a few weeks ago and stopped by Hotel Congress? Well, Democrat and U.S. Senate candidate Rodney Glassman rangled an interview. Here’s a taste, but you can also read the entire entry here:
A couple of weeks back, we spent a night in Tucson, Arizona, watching the show with a couple of hundred people in the Hotel Congress. Throughout the evening, supporters for candidates in Arizona’s Democratic primary for Senate stopped by to pitch their pick. You could tell the various sides didn’t like each other, and the underdogs particularly disliked the top dog, Rodney Glassman.

Rodney Glassman is an absolute phony and fraud who is using this community to try to buy his family into the U.S. Senate and take them from millionaires to billionaires. He is from the Republican Glassman/Britz family in Fresno, who have made their fortune on the backs of Mexican workers in California. They are predatory lenders who have put small farms out of business, and their pesticides have poisoned both the workers and the environment. They have donated to countless Republican campaigns and Glassman, himself, was a Republican when he first arrived here, from California in 2000. He is a homophobe who said that they most difficult thing he would have to do was sit next to Karin Uhlich, our openly-gay City Councilwoman.
He has bought off the Tucson Democratic Party and the truly two-faced snake, Raul Grijalva. Raul Grijalva has lots of people thinking that he is this great person, but those who are insiders know what a truly evil man he is, and the system of fear and intimidation that he operates. He has taken Rodney Glassman’s blood money that was made on the backs of Mexican people and sold out our very special community. And shame on him for convincing Dolores Huerta and the UFW to endorse Glassman. They have dishonored everything that Cesar Chavez ever stood for.
This is not Raul Grijalva’s town and this is not the Tucson Democratic Party’s town. This is our town. Those who have sold us out will be held accountable, make no mistake about that.
Parraz supporters like “Freedom for Arizona” are ticked off because Rodney came from a modest family upbringing. Wonder what they thought about Sen. Kennedy having money.
They fight for the hispanics, NOT for ALL Arizonans like Glassman does. Parraz coming in last place in the election speaks volumes of his campaign style AND his vision for Arizona. Maybe Parraz should stick with getting arrested by Arpaio more than being a fighter for Arizonans.
People don’t like the republican slime mentality like “Freedome for Arizona.” Btw, freedom from what?
A “modest family upbringing”, lol. Rodney Glassman comes from a the Republican millionaire Glassman/Britz family. His full name is Rodney Britz Glassman. His family made their fortune by exploiting and poisoning migrant workers in California, and he is using the people of community to try to buy his way into the Senate, and bring his family into the billionaires club. He bought the endorsement of the two-faced snake Raul Grijalva, and Raul has used his intimidation tactics to get all his subservients to fall in line, or else. And this so-called “Chicano leader”, Grijalva, has spit on the grave of Cesar Chavez by getting Dolores Huerta and the United Farm Workers to endorse Glassman.
The good people of this community fight for ALL Arizonans. But seeing as how it is Latinos that are being attacked so viciously by the Republicans of this state, it is Latinos who are at the forefront of this new Civil Rights Movement that we are in. We have real leaders in this movement, and we know the truth about two-faced snakes such as Raul Grijalva and the rest of his subservients, such as Richard Elias, Ruben Reyes, Regina Romero, etc. We’ve always known who they really are, but now their true colors have been shown. The fact that they have sold out to Rodney Glassman’s blood money makes it an insult for them to even show their face in our community, and goes to show how evil they are. For them to talk about farmworkers and immigrants is laughable, and it is an insult to not only the Chicanos of this community but an insult to every single person in this city that makes our community so special.
