Eric Bolling, co-host of Fox News’s The Five, a panel-discussion show that discusses news and issues of the day, pointed something out yesterday that apparently shook him to his core: liberal propaganda within an elementary school math textbook.
Detailing the distributive property.
No, really.
A part of me feels that this is simply too silly to even bother commenting on—after all, it’s a show that features talking heads making mountains out of molehills. It’s a show that, all things being equal, is about as culturally important as The View.
But what gets me, beyond this ridiculous assertion that Bolling hopefully pulled out of a pile of ridiculous items just to fill some time, were the responses of the panel members:
Co-host Kimberly Guilfoyle said that she goes through all of her six-year-old’s homework papers, adding that she was now on “high alert after this inappropriateness!”
“So it starts in third grade [with] ‘Distribute The Wealth,’ and guess what happens? Through their whole educational experience they continually get indoctrinated through college,” a concerned Bolling said, holding up the math sheet once again.
Co-host Dana Perino said that the assignment was probably written by an “Occupy Wall Street grad student.”
Bolling made one last appeal to parents to check their children’s textbooks, particularly their history books. He said he was once looking through his child’s history textbook and read a section on the war in Iraq. “They were very, very liberally biased, saying George Bush went in there because he heard there were weapons of mass destruction and they were never found. It was a very liberal bias to the history books,” Bolling said.
Considering that the CIA admitted that we entered Iraq under bad intelligence regarding WMDs, it might be safe to admit that history has a liberal bias in this case.

You know, reading some elementary school books might do them all some good over there at FOX news…never too late to learn something.
Too late, they burned all them God hatin’ liberal lovin’ tree huggin’ un-American socialist binders full of ass-wipe cuz the Jesus lovin’ heroes of Fox news are true AmeriKKKans. President Nobama and his dirty hippie scumbag supporters will never git my guns neether!
Did Comedy Central secretly purchase the Fox News network and inject some relatively unknown up-and-coming comic talent to pose as serious panelists on what has to be a network expansion of their already wildly popular satiric news programs? I’m convinced that I must be correct because nobody could come across as being this clueless yet somehow make a career while voicing these ridiculous kind of opinions. The network heads almost fooled me until Kimberly Guilfoyle made the comment that involved her inspection of her child’s homework. That had to be the work of a talented comedy writer.
They can’t be that stupid. Nobody could, and still retain the ability to form complete sentences. That only leaves malice. This country really needs a law, making it illegal for the media to knowingly lie to the public. The absence of such a law is the only reason Fox News exists.
To the the left wing mindset:
It may do you well to listen to FOX news. They at least attempt to retain Godly values and American traditions more so than the Liberal Left news rags that dominate the airways with socialistic messages. Your ideal of America and God conflict with mine. For a country that was established on God’s principles, it is sad to see what the academics have done to your brains by teaching you that you are your own god with no accountability. Guess what! You have been sold a bill of goods. A Holy God will hold you accountable. I would encourage you to read His words of WISDOM and come to understand His love for you, which he extendee trough His son Jesus Christ.
I’d miss FOX news, too. FOX is the station that professional comedians watch when they need a laugh or an inspiration. And what other news station makes headlines with their news? It is an American tradition to lie to Americans!
“He said he was once looking through his child’s history textbook and read a section on the war in Iraq. “They were very, very liberally biased, saying George Bush went in there because he heard there were weapons of mass destruction and they were never found. It was a very liberal bias to the history books,” Bolling said.”
Indeed, Truth has a VERY “liberal” bias!
Fred Vainly,
So is denying healthcare to children included in your “Godly Values?” And FYI, this country was founded on the principle of “freedom of religion” which means nobody has to worship your god, or any god at all for that matter.
Finally, it’s obvious that the only purpose your religion serves you is as an outlet for your hatred and fears.
Personally, I find that the Flying Spaghetti Monster is more benevolent than “Your God.”
I’m watching the “Five,” now. Never miss it. What that show does, among other things, is educate. “Spreading it around (money)” Barack Obama 2008 campaign is code for Socialism – just like the little girl’s homework example. Re-distributing the wealth.
Ex: the Tucson Weekly makes money, I’m poor, the TW is not. Ergo, I have a right to part of TW’s largesse because by way of the little girl’s homework and Barack’s campaign pitch to Joe the Plumber, TW’s hard work to accumulated wealth should be shared with me b’cuz I’m poor. SOCIALISM ie: a stop on the way to Karl Marx land.
To the Right Wing mindset (bless your hearts):
Take another look at the title of the math sheet. It uses the word “distribute” the wealth. The little girl could be a payroll clerk or donating to a charity and be distributing the wealth.
Now, if the title was “redistribute” the wealth you might have a point. You could construe “redistribute the wealth” as Marxist, although I doubt that the textbook authors would be trying to insert that subversive message ..after all, the Cold War has been over for quite some time now.
If Fox has influenced your thinking and you believe that Obama=redistribution of wealth=Marxist, I might suggest that you take a step back from Fox and take note of their usage of negative “buzz words”. They use them constantly to elicit a negative emotional response from you. But the buzz words never really describe an issue, with it’s pros and cons and it’s social and financial complexities. Instead the buzz word (like Marxist) is just a shortcut to an uninformed emotional response. I really think you guys are smarter than that.
Obama vs Joe-the-Plumber, ” spread it around” remember? Now, I know he uses a lot of Vaseline language, but how else do you call “re-distribution” of the wealth othere than by taking out of your hands and giving it to ME other than – SPREADIN’ IT AROUN??
