Unfortunate news for diners in (what I’m guessing we’d call) the North Central part of town: El Mezón del Cobre, a seafood-heavy Mexican restaurant, is closing at the end of the month after 23 years in business.

The announcement:

Unfortunately, after twenty-three incredible years, El Mezon del Cobre will be closing its doors on Monday, September 30th. We’d like to express our gratitude to everyone who has supported us and we hope to see you one last time. Thank you!

  1. El Mezón del Cobre has the best ceviche I ever had. I guess I better get there for at least one more really soon.

  2. We’ll really miss the parco frito ( sorry if I miss spelled it). Whole fish scored and fried. Usually enough to serve 2 or 3 people. It will be missed.
