If you’re a vegetarian, don’t press play. Seriously.

A group of degenerate Canadians called Epic Meal Time decided to combine far too much meat into one absurdly self-destructive meal. I don’t approve of their choices, but I applaud their decision to share their stupidity on YouTube.

The editor of the Tucson Weekly. I have no idea how I got here.

  1. Degenerates? I think that comment was a little unnecessary. For as absurd as what they made is it is kind of very impressive too.

  2. The only thing that seems degenerate to me are stupid vegetarians and their attitude of smug self delusion that somehow eating no protein will keep them alive FOREVER!

Actually, placing salt pork over turkey is a nice technique to insure that the turkey is not dry and infuses the meat with a moist flavor. After all, turkey without help is actually not very tasty.

Of course, vegetarians probably know nothing about cooking since you’re all out grazing in the fields on grass.

See, Dan, snarky really isn’t nice.

  3. Artimus: The “degenerate” comment was tongue in cheek, but I don’t think they would find the term offensive. After all, when they made the “greasiest sandwich ever”, the host commented “It’s not a race, you both are going to die after eating this.” There may be some moral decline involved in making a video involving a pizza topped entirely with fast food items or the world’s largest corn dog. I’ll go ahead and stand by that.

RFS: I wasn’t being snarky, nor am I a vegetarian. It was a comical blog post about a seemingly comical YouTube video. Lighten up.

  4. Ah, its always kind of hard to tell someones tone on the internet so no biggie. I think I tend to also mentally associate the word “degenerates” with the angry old people that use it when they complain about the youth these days :p One of my friends made a Turducken last weekend and afterwords it was kind of like “well, where do you we go from here?” and so when I happened upon the TurBaconEpic the other day it seemed like the perfect logical progression. Not that I’d probably ever actually attempt one since the amount of work going into making that is kind of insane.

  5. RFS,

I get my protein from better sources than high saturated fact entrees. It shows you have a very ignorant view on what vegetarians/vegans eat on a daily basis. There are many athletes that are vegans. Hugh Jackman to train for the part in the movie Wolverine was a the Thrive Diet, which is basically a raw food diet. There is a thing called Google, and suggest you use it before you make dumb comments.

Plus like Mr. Gibson said it was a stupid UTube video, lighten up.
