The Daily Show boils down the GOP’s new embrace of comprehensive immigration reform to a brew of shamelessness and political opportunity. Gotta love the reference to Gov. Brewer’s fear of the pervy-sounding “back-door amnesty.”

What is the daily show? Am I supposed to care about a TV show, as if they are somehow brighter than any of us ordinary people out here that they are apparently preaching to?

The Republican Party needs more folks like Jan Brewer and fewer John McCains.
Jon Stewert did and showed nothing but the truth. Just with a slight satitical slant. He certainly didn’t take McCain’s words out of context. I saw the interview. He said what he meant. The Brewer comment was meant for comedic use only. It was funny. No harm there. It’s a satirical/comedy entertainment show. No one should depend on Jon Stewart for their regular daily news. That would be folly. It’s just for fun.
It still amazes me how a so called “satirical” news program manages to draw every politician/high profile figure in gov’t and actually get to the gist of the issues, when the “real” news barely addresses these same issues. Bravo John Stewart and the Daily Show. Keep up the good work. You’re the most reliable source of what’s really going on in Washington DC in my book. You and the BBC, DW-TV, HHK and all the national news programs on PBS and NPR. I don’t even bother watching regular broadcast news anymore. They’ve all been stifled. Just ask Dan Rather…
a study of history will reveal that the Democrats have either failed to embrace, or blocked, immigration reform at every opportunity. Only legislation of any merit has been promulgated by the Republicans.
Stewart’s an opportunist, feeding rot to the masses.
Mammy’s titanium bubble notwithstanding, every right wing “solution” to immigration reform always tends to lean toward the violent and racist.
