The Salvation Army Tucson needs the community’s help. The organization is falling short in their collection efforts of hygiene items for their annual Caring Kits Collection Drive, happening now through April 15. The Caring Kits are meant for area people who are unhoused.
“Access to simple hygiene essentials can make a powerful difference for someone working toward stability,” Major Andres Espinoza, City Coordinator for The Salvation Army Tucson, said. “These kits offer more than toiletries. They offer encouragement, hope, and a reminder that our community cares.”
The Salvation Army is asking for new, travel-size and full-size hygiene items such as:
toothbrushes
toothpaste
deodorant
body wash and/or soap
shampoo
conditioner
lip balm
combs and/or brushes
hair gel
tissues
toilet tissue
nail clippers
razors
feminine hygiene products.
Donations will be assembled into Caring Kits and distributed to guests of the shelter.
