1: The KKK was not created by the democrats.
2: The Dixiecrats caucused with the democrats because
they hated the republicans for what they did during and
after the Civil War.
3: Robert Byrd, after the Passing of the Civil Rights Act, and
Voting Rights Act became a champion for civil rights and was
honored by the NAACP at his funeral.
Strom Thurmond and Trent Lott continued their racism by joining
the republican party with Nixon’s ‘Southern Strategy’.
4: The republicans started campaigns of lies with Sen McCarthy in
1950 and has just gotten worse since.
Interesting note, McCarthy died at 48 from alcoholism and hepatitis.
Strange for a man who preached moral purity.

Founded in 1865, the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) extended into almost every southern state by 1870 and became a vehicle for white southern resistance to the Republican Party’s Reconstruction-era policies aimed at establishing political and economic equality for Black Americans. Its members waged an underground campaign of intimidation and violence directed at white and Black Republican leaders.
Could it be you are denying history for some other reason?
