Ally Miller, Pima County’s most unstable supervisor, had a guest column in today’s morning daily complaining that Pima County Administrator Chuck Huckelberry and Arizona Daily Star columnist Tim Steller have accused her of wanting to “damage the brand” of Pima County:
During the past few months a flurry of memoranda has been published by Pima County Administrator Chuck Huckelberry on various topics, including one accusing me of “damaging the brand” in an attempt to unseat incumbent county supervisors in the upcoming 2016 election.
In addition, Star columnist Tim Steller has published articles accusing me of intentionally “damaging the Pima County brand.”
Well, wherever did they get that idea? Maybe, as Steller wrote in his column, it was in an email that Miller herself sent out. From Steller’s column that has Miller worked up:
Here’s the first sentence of an email Miller wrote to fellow opponents of November’s bond elections soon after those ballot issues lost.
“I’m still not sure they realize I have been setting the table for 3 years damaging their brand and setting the table for 2016,” she wrote Nov. 6. “I thought they were beginning to figure that o [sic] … but it is good they seem to be oblivious.”
Just more evidence that Miller’s brand is looney-tunes.
This article appears in Apr 7-13, 2016.

Thank you Ally. Vote No on all City and County bonds and force these so called leaders to get us out of debt.
I can’t wait for this November so we can vote her out. All she has done is try to take Pima County down and waste our money. Enough with her divisive Palin-Trump style politics.
I do not know her, but I was quite entertained when she was commenting on an issue that compared several large counties. I am sure she was accurately quoted as “I could care less what they are doing in Maricopa (and one other county)” That is exactly opposite of what she intended to say. Gave me a good chuckle.
Mmm, nope. She said “damaging their brand” meaning that of the Chuck and his posse, not Pima County. While I understand Chuck may think he is Pima County, he’s just a part of it. (by the way, not a huge fan of Ally either)
How much lipstick can you put on 5th poorest city in the country?
And…DAMN proud of it! Si’ Raul and Adelita?
Hahahahahahahahahaha! Ally Miller = the gift that keeps on giving.
Regrets to Voters in District 1. There was a fabulous candidate who ran against Ally Miller. The voters made the wrong choice.
Chuck Huckleberry and his “posse” do think they are Pima County. He doesn’t give a a second thought to abuse of voter bond elections and using the money the way he thinks is best. The board needs to fire him as County Manager. Too bad he is not elected and we could vote him out. Hope he retires soon. I don’t care what happens in Maricopa County either.
I hope Chuckelberry is the first “space tourist” to take a one way ride …… He can take his tax and spend
Flying Monkeys with him!
I’m not proud of Tucson being the 5th poorest city in the country anymore.
I will fight to change it, by offering solutions instead of just pointing fingers.
Commenter AZ/DC has inspired me to see the error of former ways, and The Lord and His grace has shone it’s light on me.
Sincerely,
The New and Improved What, Again
@Pima Mujer – As you stated there was a “fabulous candidate who ran against Ally Miller” in District 1. Nancy Young Wright, an imminently qualified candidate. would have been a fine Supervisor in District 1. I voted for her and certainly regret that “Looney-Tune” Ally Miller was elected. She has done nothing positive in her office – but, she’s a great favorite of the Tea Party nutz…
Like Donald Trump the more negative you pour on some people jump to their defense. You can’t ignore them and hope they go away, and you can’t wish them away, so either get out there and tell your friends, neighbors and family or experience more of the same. One big exception, next time they have learned some new tricks to make your life miserable for four more years. Not that Miller is smarter just more experienced at how to gum up the works. There is a solid answer, Brian Bickel for County Supervisor District 1. Please not four more years!
I refuse to be content with the way this County government wastes our money. You can look the other way if you want, and you will get more of the same, but I will not. Enough is enough.
Hello Ms Debbie, I agree it is a waste of money to keep paying Miller and providing all the expenses for her when she contributes nothing. That is a waste. I named one, let’s hear a couple examples from you.
Why can’t she just call 911 and end this? LOL.
Like or hate her, one thing is certain, her single vote had zero influence on the direction of the board. Yet I see many clueless comments saying “she contributes nothing”, or “She has done nothing positive in office”. What positive results do you think one board member can have when the other four, who have been in office for an average of nearly 20 years, have a clear agenda to raise property taxes repeatedly and spend away? When the other board members allow the County Administrator to run the show instead of dictating to him what he is supposed to do. When the other board members have given Huckelberry incredibly generous pay raises while he has consistently failed at his job? How is she supposed to change the downward spiral the other four long-term board members and the even longer serving County Administrator have created? She has been in office for almost four years now. Not even one full term and you people think her one vote is going to change 22 years of failed policies? You need three votes to do that.
Are her methods abrasive? Heck yes. Is she paranoid? Absolutely, so paranoid she fired her Chief of Staff at Christmas because she thought she was overshadowing her. Is she cold hearted? See what she did to her Chief of Staff (single mother) at Christmas. But she is the only board member that has held the long-term board members and Huckelberry accountable for their failures. Nobody else has done that. She has exposed very questionable spending habits that have since been stopped. They don’t like her because she has exposed them. They don’t like her because she has awoken the voter base to the cronyism going on in Pima County. If the voters of Pima County re-elect the same board members and District 4 votes for a Ray Carroll clone, Steve Christy, who refuses to say he’ll vote to remove Huckelberry, nothing will change. The county roads will remain some of the worst in the western united states. Property taxes will continue to rise and poverty will reign supreme. All this while Huckelberry looks down from his mansion on three acres on the west side.
