“All Right Now Dance Party” with Rillito River Band

The Rillito River Band is a vintage rock ‘n’ roll group named after Tucson’s Rillito River. The band’s tunes are inspired by mariachi, folk and vintage rock, with influences from The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Thin Lizzy and Van Morrison. The group is comprised of Oscar Chavez (lead singer, guitar, bass), Russell Long (harmony vocals, finger-style guitar, bass), John McCaleb (lead guitar, rhythm guitar, vocals) and Mike Joyal (drums). Together, they compose three and four-part harmonies, romantic songs and rock ‘n’ roll beats.

Summer Safari Nights

At Summer Safari Nights, attendees can participate in keeper chats, animal encounters, artifact stations, giraffe feedings, carousel rides and craft activities. The theme is World Giraffe Day, and guests will be able to interact with the giraffes Msituni, Penny and Moyo. The musicians Steve K. and Groove Dog will be there on different days to provide a fun musical backing.

Mean Streets

Mean Streets is a tribute band to the famous rock group Van Halen, and has headlined with all-star performances for loyal fans across the country. The Mean Streets want fans to relive their nostalgia and excitement that came with a Van Halen concert from the ’80s, and will play tunes like “Jump,” “Eruption” and “Runnin’ with the Devil.”

Mary Chapin Carpenter and Brandy Clark

Mary Chapin Carpenter is a five-time Grammy winner who has sold over 16 million records throughout her career. She is known for songs like “Passionate Kisses” and “He Thinks He’ll Keep Her” and is one of only fifteen female members of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. Brandy Clark is considered one of the most esteemed songwriters and musicians of her generation and won “Best Americana Performance” at the 66th Grammy Awards and “Song of the Year” with “Dear Insecurity” at the 2024 Americana Honors and Awards.

Faun

Founded in Munich, Germany, the band Faun combines medieval and ancient instruments with modern influences to create a powerful sound and style. The band is comprised of Oliver Satyr (vocals, keyfiddles, celtic harp, bouzouki), Laura Fella (vocals), Adaya (vocals, pandora, bagpipes, flutes, celtic harp), Stephan Groth (hurdy-gurdy, cister, vocals), Alexander Schulz (percussion, drums) and Niel Mitra (programming, sampler, synthesizer). Having played over 1000 concerts worldwide, the band released its last album, “Pagan,” in 2022 and is gearing up for the release of “Hex” this fall.

The five-piece Black Cat Bones released its latest album, “Troublemaker,” and Porch Rockers combines blues, jump and swing music to get audiences moving.

Teen Retro 2000s Gaming

“Curious Allies”

The fifth American Society of Botanical Artists and the New York Botanical Garden Triennial will present this exhibit featuring 48 paintings expressed through various styles.
