Paint Night in the Park: Teen Edition

Teens can hang out and get creative during Paint Night in the Park. The instructor-led class will guide participants stroke by stroke to create the image of the month. Registration includes an 11-inch by 14-inch canvas and all supplies needed for painting. Parents wanting to participate with their children are welcome to register as well. Parents must be accompanied by someone 10 to 17 years of age, at the instructor’s discretion.

Legion of Mario is a live and improvisational band that plays the music of the Jerry Garcia Band, Jerry Garcia and the Legion of Mary in their soulful style. Mario Saravia channels the guitar and vocals of Garcia, while “Doc Holladay” brings his Hammond B-3 to life. Legion of Mario also includes bassist Mark Ryan and drummer Andy Briefer.

“Oro Valley’s Main Street”

The Pusch House Museum at Historic Steam Pump Ranch closes its exhibit, “Oracle Road/Historic Route 80 and Oro Valley’s Main Street” on April 26. The tour is self-guided with docents available to answer questions. This summer, the organization will work on new exhibits to debut in September.

Arizona Repertory Singers

The Arizona Repertory Singers considers the poetic paradox in the sun, moon and stars with lullabies, evening songs, sacred music and contemporary classics. The oldest piece is Monteverdi’s “Ecco Mormorar L’onde,” a 1590s Renaissance madrigal that navigates various moods from serene to bright. More recent compositions include “Light of a Clear Blue Morning” by Dolly Parton, arranged here in seven parts by Craig Hella Johnson and performed with recorder accompaniment.

Self-described as Tucson’s largest summer party, the Rillito Park Race Track hosted Tucson Taco Fest will bring on multiple tacos and tequila drinks while DJs and performing artists like T.I., Lil Jon, Fat Joe, Chingy, Trick Daddy, Paul Wall, Yung Joc and Bubba Sparxxx blast and mix hits from the ’00s. A ticket purchase allows guests to attend The Cactus Cantina to try over 100 premium tequilas, craft margaritas and ice-cold beer, as well as lucha libre wrestling matches, the “Southwest’s Finest Lowriders” and towering loaded nachos.
