D.A. Ranch Estate Vineyards, a family-owned boutique winery nestled in Cornville, has joined forces with Tappa Distribution to introduce its estate-grown wines to restaurants, retailers and hospitality venues across the state.

As the exclusive Arizona winery in Tappa’s portfolio, D.A. Ranch offers a distinctive combination: Small-batch wines that capture regional character, feature creative varietals, and provide value for wine programs seeking distinction.

“Hospitality and retail buyers are looking for wines that authentically deliver — on taste, story and value to the community,” said Alexis Petznick, chief executive officer of D.A. Ranch.

“With Tappa’s local reach and our growing fan base, this partnership opens a new chapter for our Arizona wines.”

D.A. Ranch produces all its wines on its 180-acre estate along Oak Creek, utilizing estate-grown grapes irrigated by artesian spring water. Varietals include Tannat, Seyval Blanc and Teroldego — rare offerings in the Southwest. Each bottle is crafted onsite in the Verde Valley by winemaker Joe Bechard and vineyard manager Elliot Stephens.

“D.A. Ranch fills a meaningful gap in our portfolio,” said Derek Kaminsky, owner of Tappa Distribution. “Their wines have broad appeal, compelling stories, and strong sell-through potential. Early placements are already seeing traction.”

The brand is known for its estate-grown authenticity, as it’s a local story backed by quality and over a decade of care.

On top of it, it offers strong margins and flexible SKUs, because the wines are suitable for by-the-glass and premium bottle lists.

Eight wines, including the 2023 Red Barn Red, Homestead Rosé and Willow White, are available now.

The 2023 Homestead Red is offered at a case discount for by-the-glass placements.

The 2022 Reserve Series (Twelve Dog, Nestor’s Tale, Gertrude, and Generations) is set to release in December after 36 months of aging.

Ideal for chef-driven restaurants, upscale bars, boutique grocers, country clubs, and resort wine programs, D.A. Ranch delivers the kind of local character that sets menus apart and invites conversation at the table.

“We’re still new to some buyers, but we’re not new to our fans,” Petznick said. “We’re seeing demand grow week by week — and we’re inviting accounts to join us now, especially ahead of our reserve release this winter.”
