The city of Tucson, in partnership with Rio Nuevo, is inviting residents and visitors to celebrate the holiday season at Tucson Holiday Ice, the city’s outdoor skating rink.
Tickets, which include skate rentals, can be purchased online with no extra fees. Skate sizes range from children’s 8 to men’s 15. Socks are required, and gloves are strongly recommended. For safety, personal bags are not allowed on the ice, and staff are not responsible for unattended items.
Opening day is Sunday, Nov. 23, with sessions scheduled at noon, 2 p.m., 4 p.m., 6 p.m., and 8 p.m. Hours vary during the season, and the rink will be closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas days.
Admission for 90-minute sessions is $22 for adults and $15 for children under 12. The first session each day offers discounted rates: $12 for adults and $8 for youth. Skate assists are available on-site for $7. Private rink rentals are also offered during off-hours for $750 per 90-minute session.
