Props to MOIA, the local graphic design/web development duo that re-created the Hotel Congress website (and within it, DeFeo’s blog) in its present look.
As a Congress alum myself, I feel qualified making this observation: much of the place’s success in its now-nearly 25 years of operation has to do with an artistic braintrust assembled over the years by owners Richard and Shana Oseran, beginning in the early eighties with Mary Ann Brazil and Gary Patch, but encompassing many artists over the years and a great deal of respect, goodwill and mutual purpose. Their aesthetic successes are no accident, online and everywhere else.
The new blog, like so many new things spanning a certain, very happy section of Toole Ave., looks fantastic. Very nice job.
LOL glad to see he is a good writer, unlike the 6 year old who writes the rest of the site. The Belgian Mare entry was very interesting.
