Looking to avoid the gravy induced guilt this Thanksgiving? Consider running in the 6th Annual Marana Turkey Trot.

The event takes place on Saturday, Nov. 10 and features a half-mile fun run as well as a 5 and a 10k race.

Check-in starts at 6:30 a.m. The half-mile fun run starts at 7:15 a.m. and the 5 and 10k races start at 8 a.m. Early registration prices are $10 for the fun run, $20 for the 5 or 10k for adults and $15 for kids 12 and under. Shirts will also be available for $8 at the event.

Runners are also encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for the Veterans of Foreign Wars Association who will be taking donations at the event. Donors will be entered into a raffle to win prizes.

Feel free to run, walk or roll for the Turkey Trot at Crossroads at Silverbell District Park. Go fast and you can eat to your heart’s desire come turkey day!
