Nearly 6,000 Valentine's Day cards from local schools are going out to veterans around Southern Arizona today at places like the VA Hospital, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base and local VFW halls.

Congressman Raul Grijalva's office coordinated the event with local elementary schools, churches and others.
