The 31st annual Martin Luther King Jr. March and Festival arrived at Reid Park for a celebration after walking three and a half miles from the newly dedicated ML King Jr. Way and 36th Street at the UA Tech Park on Monday, Jan. 18. Tucson became the 731st city in the United States to have a street named after Rev. Martin Luther King.

  1. When a street is named after MLK, that’s where all the whites, Asians and Hispanics live. It is a crime-free street full of beautiful lawns, pride in home ownership, every owner is employed and they all sleep with the doors unlocked at night.

Property values are sky high and rising.

  2. There was no “Black Lives Matter” sign at Mesa MLK Parade Festival, but alot of attention at Bernie Sanders Booth.

  3. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr said: “Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend.” It did NOT work for him, or President John F. Kennedy, His Brother Senator/Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy or President Abraham Lincoln. All were assassinated, removed from our “Democracy”, because they represented Change; a threat to the Status Quo!!

Our Political System is Controlled/Manipulated by very Powerful/Quasi/PseudoReligious Interests Groups. The American Electorate has allowed this to happen! Wake Up America!!..realize that the viability of our Democracy is determined by our National System of Public Education: Teaching our Students to Understand and Respect the Diversity in our Society, that the very nature of our Society creates a Mutual Dependence with the Requirement to provide Assistance to others when Assistance is Necessary.

This, in my view, is what we should be thinking about when we Honor, like Dr. King, those who where Murdered because they tried to bring about these change to our Political/Social System

“America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves” Abraham Lincoln
