With the tag “If there is a hell, George Zimmerman will one day burn in it,” Mother Jones reported that Zimmerman—the dude who was acquitted of second degree murder over the shooting death of unarmed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin—retweeted an image of Martin’s dead body.
According to Mother Jones, the photo was first tweeted to Zimmerman by a fan (this guy has fans? Wow.) who wrote, “Z-Man is a one man army.”

After the tweet was deleted, apparently by Twitter, Zimmerman posted a tweet directing media inquiries to the phone number of a car audio shop. When I called it, a disgruntled man said it was not affiliated with Zimmerman. I asked what he meant, and he said, “It’s pretty cut and dry, dude. Do you understand English?” Then he hung up. The number, it turns out, belongs to a man Zimmerman has been waging a social media campaign against.
Twitter would not comment on why they took down the photo, but the company directed me to its policy, which states that users “may not publish or post threats of violence against others or promote violence against others.”
Previously, Zimmerman’s tweets have referred to black people as primates and “slime.”

In August, Zimmerman teamed up with the owner of a gun store with a no-Muslims-allowed policy to sell prints of his Confederate flag art, which he says “represents the hypocrisy of political correctness that is plaguing this nation.”

See the multiple witnesses lie on the stand, one whom signed a petition online to jail Zimmerman and was dismissed from the courtroom? Why do media outlets continue to use the 14 year picture of Trayvon Martin and not the 17 year old one?

I’m with Rat T on this one also. He seems to get attacked by every so called open minded progressive. What has happened to the progressive movement? Jesus told us to take care of each other, the sick, the poor, the destitute, and the far right is running away from that edict as fast as they can. There’s no such thing as pure socialism – ask the Russians. There no such thing as pure Communism – ask the Chinese. There also no such thing as pure Capitalism – just look around. They are ALL a mix of different aspects of each. I’m not religious. However, I AM spiritual. I believe in SOMETHING bigger than me. There’s no proof that there is a God, and there’s no proof there isn’t. I choose to live my life as if there is. I choose to follow Jesus’ words as best I can, ALL of them, not just the ones I like. The income gap in this country is beyond ludicrous! As for being deceived? You BET we are, by a LOT of those we elected to represent us, the majority of whom are more concerned with getting reelected than they are about the folks they are SUPPOSED to represent. Trump, and some of the others want to run this country like a business. They are wrong! Our government is NOT a business – it’s a SERVICE! That why we call our elected representatives PUBLIC SERVANTS! They need to start serving US, and not the special interests and lobbyists. There are so many facets to it…let’s start with the admonition of Jesus. “love one another as I have loved you.” That context is (in my opinion) the exact opposite of “render unto Caeser that which is Caeser’s.” For you see, the first one is directed at us…our obligation. The second is basically give the government…give them their due. And he said to pray for them. But I can not find one directive, or one demand that government follow the same principal as the people. That is why he said give the government what is theirs.
Your description of perceived responsibility seems to draw the government, or the taxpayer, into making the government responsible to Jesus. That in effect would be a combination of church and state. Rather than a separation.
Scripture also says “to worship together with those of like mind.” Kind of sounds like organized religion to me. The shooter in Oregon yesterday had posted the same exact comments online that you said regarding spirituality over religion.
But I must cut to the chase. The government is not a service. Ask the veterans returning from war how that’s working out at the VA. “Service” status allows for shallow mental action to occur regarding cost, availability, and quality. We have been forced to contribute financially and now we hope that’s right, hope, to get treated as though they were our servants. Ever try to phone one and talk directly to them?
Did you ever see servants get paid in advance of working? Houston we have a problem.
And to top it off word from Washington is that Social Security as in retirement income is being renamed “Federal Income Benefit.”
They are going to call the return of our forced contributions a federal benefit? That’s a FIB.

People make much about martins toxicology reports- but what of it. So what he smoked weed prior to his murder. Does that mean he deserved to be killed? Let’s look at the facts, Zimmerman was following Martin and was told not to pursue him. He stated he was afraid. If that’s so why didn’t he go home? Zimmerman was the antagonist in this situation and he stalked Martin. So if Martin perceived Zimmerman as a threat, why doesn’t he have the right to “stand his ground” and defend himself. Why is the right wing media criminilizing him for defending himself against a person he perceived as a threat? It’s a constitutional right to defend oneself from harm. He believed this grown man, following him at night meant him no good. I have 3 boys, any one of them could have been trayvon. And to the people who are saying he’s a thug or they’re posting pictures of him at 14, it doesn’t matter- he was someone’s child. I bet of a black man killed an unarmed 17 year old it would have been a different outcome and all you white people would see it for what it is- murder. This situation could have been avoided if zimmerman took his ass home and left the policing to the police.
