Some of you have asked where the infamous "Nine Questions" column has been. We are trying new things and waiting for a response from the readers. Honestly, we have had a couple complaints and I suspect all of them are from Josh Levine. So, I decided to try to breath some new life back in to this dormant section and mix things up.
12th Planet, Los Angeles based dubstep and drum and bass producer and DJ, took some time from his busy touring schedule to answer nine questions. You can win tickets to see 12th Planet and the rest of the crew this Friday, feb. 21, at the Rialto Theatre, 318 E Congress St. Click here to find out how to win.
What was the first concert you attended?
A. Michael Jackson - Bad Tour.
What are you listening to these days?
A. A lot of Dubstep and a lot of Hip Hop.
What was the first album you owned?
What artist, genre or musical trend does everyone seem to love, but you just don't get?
What musical act, current or defunct, would you most like to see perform live?
A. Led Zeppelin or The Doors.
What is your favorite guilty pleasure?
What song would you like to have played at your funeral?
What band or artist changed your life, and how?
A. Rage Against The Machine. The insert of the Evil Empire CD was a picture of a bunch of books. I decided to read them all, and some of the books really opened up my third eye.
Figurative gun to your head, what is your favorite album of all time?
A. I don’t have a favorite album. A few albums I can recite from start to finish would be Dr. Dre - The Chronic, Notorious Big - Ready to Die, Kendrick Lamar - Good Kid M.A.A.D city, Rage Against the Machine - Evil Empire. I can go on for days on this shit.
