Nothing lasts forever.

Tonight is the last in-store concert at 7 p.m. at Toxic Ranch Records, 424 East Sixth Street.

There will be a live performance by Lenguas Largas, The Resonars and Discos. $3 cover for this all ages show. Toxic is offering 30% off all non-local discs through Jan. 6.

I walked in to Toxic Ranch Records for the first time seven years ago. I was a freshman at Tucson High School and I was very ignorant when it came to the local music (and everything under the sun). The only bands I knew personally were guys I went to school with. I knew some of the guys from Cool Shades and various bands that don't exist any more. But Toxic was the place where I discovered a whole new world of punk and local comic scene.

I discovered the Misfits, Raw Power, The Cramps, Iggy Pop, Peter Bagge, old comics by local legend cartoonist Jon Morris and the Descendants .

Tonight history will be made. There will be tears. Life long friendships will be formed. And everyone's invited.
