The Legacy of Herman Cain's Presidential Bid in One Sentence

While it should probably be taken into consideration that he was the head of a terribly run presidential campaign in 2008, Steve Schmidt provided a summary of the value of the Herman Cain campaign for the Washington Post:


"That Cain’s candidacy was taken seriously for longer than a nano-second in a time of genuine crisis for the country raises fundamental questions about the health of the political process and the Republican party," Schmidt said.
