Critter of the Week [Dog Edition]

Posted By on Thu, Sep 15, 2011 at 9:17 AM

Dear old Goldie is looking for a family to adore. Found wandering the streets one hot August day, Goldie was fortunate to come across a Good Samaritan willing to offer her safety from the elements. Although her past remains a mystery, Goldie must have been someone’s companion at one point since she was found wearing a collar. Unfortunately, the phone number on her ID tag had long been disconnected. Determined to make a better life for herself, Goldie is now staying positive and making friends fast at the Humane Society of Southern Arizona. Easy-going and dignified, Goldie loves going for leisurely morning strolls, enjoying restful afternoon naps and learning new skills in Canine College. Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks!? With such a resilient attitude and a constant eagerness to please, it’s easy to see why all of Goldie’s friends describe her as “simply delightful.” Despite the hardships she’s endured during what should have been the best years of her life, Goldie makes the most of everyday and can’t wait to start fresh with you. If you could give this beautiful (inside and out!) girl a place to rest her paws and fill her heart, please visit Goldie soon!

Goldie is currently living at the Humane Society of Southern Arizona, 3450 N. Kelvin Blvd. The Humane Society is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Their phone number is 327-6088.
