Arizona Illustrated reporters Andrea Kelly and Christopher Conover had Democratic Councilwoman Regina Romero and her Green Party challenger, Beryl Baker, in for a debate last week. Baker gets points for learning the politician's trick of ignoring the reporter's question and simply saying whatever she wants to say, but we're not sure her concerns about a collapsing society (in response to a question about whether the city relies too much on sales taxes) is going to win over many voters. And we have to confess that we never expected a Green Party candidate to complain that it's a waste of money to clean up contaminated landfills.
