Win Tickets to See the Black Lips at Plush!

Posted By on Mon, Jun 13, 2011 at 3:50 PM

You might feel like there are enough bands in your life with the word "Black" in their name. I wouldn't blame you if you just stuck with Black Flag and ignored bands like the Black Keys just to make organizing your music easier. However, you'd be missing out if your somewhat absurdly obstinate policy led you to not make time in your life for the Black Lips, who are coming to Plush on June 21st to promote their new album Arabia Mountain. Their music is about as fun as indie rock gets, mixing raucous light-hearted punk with 60's psychedelic and beach influences, full of hooky, short lived tracks that remind you of a dozen bands you already like, but in a still inventive and unique way.

Read more about the band in the Weekly hitting stands on Thursday, buy their new CD, and also enter to win a pair of tickets to their show here. A winner will be drawn at 2 pm on Friday, June 17th and notified by email.
