Former Cincinnati Reds pitcher Pat Darcy is in the mayor's race.
Darcy, who is running as an independent, came down to the City Hall this afternoon to turn in 3,105 signatures on his nominating petitions, which were gathered hastily in recent weeks. He needs 2,596 valid signatures to qualify.
In other mayoral news: Both Mary DeCamp and Dave Croteau have filed to run for mayor on the Green Party ticket.
