Yesterday, the internet was abuzz over a video from a frequent YouTube poster who claimed that her Lenten prayers might have been responsible for the earthquake in Japan, which was really just a wake-up call for a country that hasn't fully embraced Jesus. The question was whether the poster was for real. Certainly, there are some wildly bad apples out there in evangelical Christianity, including some of the faith's loudest unofficial spokespersons, so it wasn't outside the realm of possibility that she was being sincere.
Apparently, it was a hateful prank to expose the hateful nature of other people. Or something like that.
Although, maybe she's actually for real and is claiming to be a troll because the attention grew to a level she wasn't comfortable with. My head hurts, but regardless, even parodying hate speech with hate speech seems like a terrible idea.
