AZ Walk to Silence Tinnitus

Posted By on Fri, Mar 4, 2011 at 4:20 PM

On the morning of Saturday, March 5, the Walk to Silence Tinnitus will be taking off in Scottsdale.

Tinnitus, commonly referred to as “ringing in the ears,” affects 50 million Americans, and of those, up to 16 million seek medical attention for this sometimes chronic condition. Additionally, tinnitus has been the No. 1 service‐connected disability for returning personnel from Iraq and Afghanistan for the past three years. This walk will raise funds for the American Tinnitus Association’s research grant program and help contribute to the eventual cure of this debilitating condition.

Jennifer Capriati, former No. 1 ranked women's tennis player in the world, and her mother, Denise will be present at the walk and there to show their support for the cause.

For more information on the walk, visit the American Tinnitus Association website.
