A Surge of Possibly Misguided Optimism at the Marriott

Posted By on Tue, Nov 2, 2010 at 8:31 PM

At the Marriott, Jeff Rogers, chairman of the Pima County Democratic Party, announced numbers from early Pima County returns which showed the Democrats in contention for nearly every statewide office. While that data resulted in a number of cheers across the audience here, Pima County voters might not be the best arbiter of how things will shake out statewide at the end of the night. Still, it doesn't sound happy in the ballroom. Talking to some of the attendees, they use phrases like "sit back and bet the Republicans destroy everything" and "not feeling anything right now".
