The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain may be a bit out of the way for many Tucsonans, but damn they pour a mean cocktail. And now the resort has a garden where fresh herbs and spices can be plucked, infused into liquor and served in no time. Each herb is labeled with its name and the cocktail it's used in, which makes for an informative and unique cocktailing experience.

Todd Brinkman, who heads up the resort's beverage program, was obviously proud of his beds of chocolate mint, cinnamon basil, dill, sage and other herbs at a media dinner held at the resort last night. I had a pisco sour infused with cinnamon basil, and although the drink was free (an ingredient that obviously enhances a drink's flavor) I would've gladly paid top dollar for it.
