On Friday, Oct. 8, the Rialto Theatre will celebrate its 90th birthday (!) with one heck of an event.

This 1920s Red Carpet Night includes a prohibition parking lot cocktail party and an early 20thcentury Vintage -Rancho Tucsonia Fashion Show for VIP ticket holders,Followed by a rare screening of the 1924 silent film The Mine With the Iron Door with new musical accompaniment prepared by native Tucsonan (now New York-based) conductor and composer Brian Hollman and performed by a live ensemble. Filmed in Tucson this picture originally premiered at the Rialto and was considered lost until a surviving print was discovered last year in the CNC - Archives françaises du film.
