McCain Ad: Rodney Glassman Plagiarized his Dissertation

U.S. Sen. John McCain finally starts taking real swings at Democrat Rodney Glassman.

Meanwhile, Rasmussen Reports brings us the news that McCain holds a comfortable lead:


A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in the state shows McCain earning 54% of the vote, while Glassman picks up 33% support. Eight percent (8%) prefer some other candidate, and six percent (6%) are still undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

This race remains Solid GOP in the Rasmussen Reports Election 2010 Senate Balance of Power Rankings.

Last month, McCain led Glassman 51% to 37%. In surveys since April, s upport for McCain in matchups with Glassman has ranged from 53% to 57%, while the Democrat has gotten 28% to 37% of the vote.

McCain, a member of the U.S. Senate since 1987, is favored by 82% of Republicans and nearly one-out-of-four Democrats (23%). Sixty-two percent (62%) of Democrats support Glassman, the former vice mayor of Tucson and a relative political newcomer. The two are nearly tied among voters not affiliated with either major political party.
