Help a Local Band Make Its Dream Come True: Opening for KISS

Posted By on Wed, Jul 7, 2010 at 3:24 PM

On its current tour, legendary rockers KISS are holding a contest to find an unsigned band to open for them in each of the cities in which they’re performing. KISS will review the top five vote-getters in each city, then decide which band has earned the right to share their stage.

As of this writing, local metal band Blind Greed is in seventh place out of more than 400 bands in the running to open the Phoenix date, at Cricket Wireless Pavilion, on Sept. 24—the last show of the tour. And they’d like your help.

To check out the band’s music, head to their MySpace page.

If you like what you hear, head here to vote for them.

Voting ends approximately two weeks prior to the show, and you can only vote for a band once.

Blind Greed’s Brad Coletti recently wrote to us: “This is a huge dream of ours and all we are asking is to do a story to help us reach many more people that Facebook and MySpace haven't already reached. How cool would it be to have a local Tucson band open for the legendary KISS?”

It would be cool, indeed, Brad. Consider it done.
