Martin Qualifies for Public Campaign Dollars

Posted By on Mon, Jun 28, 2010 at 1:58 PM

The Arizona Capitol Times reports that state Treasurer Dean Martin has qualified for $707,000 in Clean Elections funds.

Last week's Rasmussen poll noted that just 12 percent of GOP voters supported Martin, while 61 percent supported Gov. Jan Brewer and 16 percent supported Buz Mills, who has spent more than $2 million to build his political brand.

Although Martin is accepting Clean Elections money, he says he opposes the system and was a plaintiff in a suit to deny matching funds to participating candidates.
