Clean Elections Revived

Posted By on Fri, May 21, 2010 at 12:46 PM

The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has reversed a decision knocking down the matching funds provision of Clean Elections.

Attorney General Terry Goddard, who is using Clean Elections in his gubernatorial campaign, was happy with the decision.

"It was always an option, although perhaps the least anticipated," Goddard says. "It's a vindication and a validation of a process that tries to level the playing field. For all of its flaws, I'm a supporter of Clean Elections."

Goddard will appear this evening on the Friday Roundtable on Arizona Illustrated, airing at 6:30 p.m. on Channel 6.
