A clunker car I had completely died a couple of weeks ago, and there's is some competition for what will become the other "family" car.

In the meantime, though, I finally took my bike to Ordinary Bike Shop (it's in my neighborhood) for a few repairs so I could regain my independence. While the repairs were reasonable, I kept thinking about how cool it would be if I finally learned how to fix my own bike.

Then I got a message from BICAS, that the bike cooperative is conducting a Basic Maintenance Workshop on Wednesday, April 7, at 4 p.m. at 44 W. 6th St. The cost is $20, about $10 less than what I paid to get my bike back on the road. If you're interested, call them at 628-7950 to reserve a spot, or show up the day of class.
