Director Kirby Dick's Outrage, which examines the record of closeted gay Republicans, opens at the Loft Cinema on Friday. Nathan Lerner interviewed Dick in TW last week and the Tucson-born filmmaker will be at the Loft on Saturday night to discuss the film.
The New Republic's managing editor, Richard Just, had a recent debate with Dick about the merits of outing gay GOP politicians who don't support gay rights here. In a second installment, they talk about Jim Kolbe, the former Southern Arizona congressman, among others.
