Some Late-Breaking Events

Here are a few events that were received too late for inclusion in our Jan. 3 print issue. We recommend calling to check for last minutes changes in location, time, price, etc.

  • Saturday, Jan. 5 at 3 p.m.

    Rincon United Church of Christ

    122 N. Craycroft Road

    Rincon Chancel Choir and Chamber Orchestra. Tucson Symphony Orchestra associate concertmaster Carla Ecker presents an all-Bach program for Epiphany. Free admission. A light meal to follow. Call 745-6237 for more info.

  • Sunday, Jan. 6 at 1 p.m.

    La Mision de San Miguel

    335 McKeown Ave., Patagonia

    Sundays Are For Dreamers Concert Series. Combo Westside and Nobody, et al will perform. Proceeds assist the East Santa Cruz County Food Bank. Admission is $5, plus a donation of canned food and/or cash donation to the food bank. Visit or call (520) 604-0604 for information.

  • Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 7 p.m.

    Hotel Congress

    311 E. Congress St.

    Play Reading SeriesBengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo will be presented. $5 at the door. An informal play discussion with the director and actors will follow. Call 882-5502 for information.

  • Wednesday, Jan. 9 at 7 p.m.

    Tucson Jewish Community Center

    3800 E. River Road

    Salsa Dance Workshop. Learn one of the hottest Latin dances. No experience necessary. Come alone or with a partner. $20 per person. Call 299-3000, ext. 147 for information.
