Birthday Fiesta This Weekend Canceled

Posted By on Fri, Aug 3, 2007 at 10:01 AM

As Linda Ray noted on the "Late-Breaking Events" post, the Tucson birthday fiesta scheduled for tomorrow--the subject of our Pick of the Week--has been canceled.

Details, from the news release:

The scheduled all-day Presidio Settlement Fiesta on Saturday, August 4, at Washington Street and Church Avenue has been canceled.

The Fiesta's host, Celebrando el Pueblo de Tucson, has confirmed that it is canceling the event and regrets any inconveniences.

For more information, please call Lynne Urias, Celebrando el Pueblo de Tucson, at 327-3854.

Dozens of events to celebrate Tucson's 232nd birthday remain scheduled throughout the month of August. Residents and visitors are encouraged to visit the Tucson's Birthday web site at www.tucsonsbirthday.org for the complete listing of community celebrations.
