Some Late-Breaking Events

Here are a few events that were received too late for us to include in the print issue.

  • Saturday, March 3

    11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

    17th St. Market 

    810 E. 17th St.

    Balkan Spirit and Seyyah. Jeffrey Holson of Balkan Spirit will perform on the djebe, dundun, dumbec, gemshorn and guitar. Seyyah will perform Turkish music. Free. Visit www.treasureshidden.com for directions and info.  

  • Saturday, March 3

    5:30 p.m.

    St. Cyril's Catholic Church

    4725 E. Pima St.

    Community Potluck. Palestinian activists Feryal Abu Haikal and Mohammed Khatib speak about solidarity building between communities. Bring a dish to share. $5, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Call 770-1373 for info.

  • Tuesday, March 6

    9:30 a.m.

    Freedom Inn at Ventana Canyon

    5660 N. Kolb Road.

    Laugh and Stretch Class. A class for seniors that will focus on laughter and stretching will be conducted by a certified personal trainer. Free. Space limited. Call 577-6940 to RSVP.

  • Wednesday, March 7

    5:30 p.m.

    Craycroft Towers

    1635 N. Craycroft Road.

    Tucson Arts and Crafts Association Meeting. A social hour and jurying of prospective members takes place at 5:30 p.m. A business meeting takes place at 7 p.m. Call 577-1801 or visit www.tucsonartsandcrafts.org for info.
