Let's face it: We, as a country, don't look so hot to the rest of the world. So in the name of positive public relations, Los Angeles-based Ozomatli are travelling to India and Nepal to show people that we're not all evil bastards over on this side of the pond.
Says their publicist: "Since their inception over 10years ago, Ozomatli’s mission has been to globally spread a message of peace and understanding through diversity in music. From Feb. 11 through 21, Ozomatli will be extending their devotion to polyglot urban sound clashing all the way to India and Nepal, representing the United States as Cultural Ambassadors on a Fullbright-Hays grant from the State Department."
It's nice to know the State Department can do something right.
