Translating to “Art of the American West,” the Arte del Oeste Americano exhibit at the Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block will be available through Feb. 8, 2026. The collection features various contemporary paintings, sculptures, works on paper, photography and other media from the past 200 years — representative of artists who live or are inspired by the American West. Drawing on artistic traditions and innovations that span the Southwest, Plains and Rocky Mountain regions, the exhibition reimagines realist “cowboy art.”

Artists for Conservation

The Arizona-Sonora Museum will feature its annual “Artists for Conservation exhibition through Feb. 22. Consisting of over 50 works by contemporary nature artists, the collection’s themes surround the celebration and protection of the natural world. The pieces depict various subjects, from apex predators and delicate invertebrates to threatened habitats. A portion of all sales benefits conservation initiatives selected by the exhibiting artists.

JOGS Tucson Gem and Jewelry Show

The JOGS Tucson Gem and Jewelry show runs from Wednesday Jan. 28 through Sunday, Feb. 8 at the Tucson Expo Center. As part of the Tucson Gem, Mineral and Fossil Show, the JOGS Tucson show brings together jewelry industry professionals, wholesalers and intercontinental manufacturers to showcase various new designs and ideas. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet jewelers from across the globe — USA, Mexico, Canada, Germany, Nepal, India, Thailand, Poland, Russia and many other countries.

‘Ain’t Misbehavin’’

A tribute to Fats Waller’s legacy, as well as the charm of jazz and swing, “Ain’t Misbehavin’” a cast of performers celebrating the golden age of jazz. Presented by the Arizona Theatre Company, the show features various iconic hits, with joyful rhythms, sultry melodies — highlighting the beauty of the music of the Harlem Renaissance.

JD Simo and Luther Dickinson

On Friday, Jan. 30, American guitarist and singer-songwriter JD Simo as well as guitarist and vocalist Luther Dickinson will perform at The Fox Tucson Theatre. The two performers will join drummer Adam Abrashoff for a trio performance, featuring roots-infused blues music. For Grammy nominee Dickinson, the show marks the 25th anniversary of North Mississippi Allstars and a new album, showcasing his commitment to pushing Hill Country blues forward. Additionally, Simo has been touring with Chris Isaak and is a key player in Bruce Springsteen biopic “Deliver Me from Nowhere” — working closely with Springsteen, supervising the music script, coaching lead actor Jeremy Allen White (“The Bear”) and contributing heavily to the film’s score and soundtrack.

Paula Poundstone

Iconic comedian and author Paula Poundstone will perform at The Fox Tucson Theatre on Saturday, Jan. 31. Known for her smart, observational humor and wit, Poundstone regularly books shows in theaters across the country and hosts her own weekly podcast — “Nobody Listens to Paula Poundstone.” Her other notable features include frequent appearances as a panelist on National Public Radio’s “Wait, Wait… Don’t Tell Me” and the character Forgetter Paula in Pixar’s “Inside Out” and “Inside Out 2.”

Colors of the Stone

Colors of the Stone is a series of Artisan Workshops at Casino Del Sol Resort. Joined by To Bead True Blue and Colors of the Stone, the event showcases a wide array of artisan handcraft across 1000 artisan exhibits, galleries and workshops. Tubac Festival of the Arts

The Village of Tubac has hosted The Festival of the Arts for six decades. The long-running, outdoor arts festival draws tens of thousands of visitors each season — featuring 200 visiting artists exhibiting their work, more than 125 shops, fine art galleries and working artist studios. In addition to the artwork, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy horse-drawn trolley rides, festival eateries and live entertainment.
