Make a difference by volunteering to help with meal duties at the Salvation Army Tucson Hospitality House, 1002 N. Main Avenue.

Tucson’s Salvation Army recently partnered with the Caridad Community Kitchen, a local organization that is bringing hot meals to be distributed to whomever would like one.

Under this collaboration, freshly prepared meals, complete with utensils, arrive at the Hospitality House from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Meals will be distributed from The Salvation Army’s Canteen vehicle, stationed outside the Hospitality House.

“This partnership allows us to reach more people than ever before, whether they are unhoused or families simply trying to put food on the table,” Major Andres Espinoza, The Salvation Army’s Tucson City coordinator, said. “We are deeply grateful to Caridad for entrusting us to carry this program forward and for joining us in serving our community with dignity, compassion, and hope.”

Volunteers will help with meal setup, distribution and cleanup, as well as ensuring a safe,              welcoming environment.

“This partnership is about more than just feeding people, it’s about ensuring that everyone in our community has access to a warm, nutritious meal,” said Todd Eanes, Caridad Community Kitchen’s associate director. “We’re excited to work hand-in-hand with The Salvation Army to make a real difference in Tucson.”
