Perhaps “Conserve the Police” would be closer to the ideal of having a police service that is focused on law enforcement and law enforcement activities, instead of making everything a police issue by default.
When you have a fire, you call the fire department. When you have a medical emergency, you call an ambulance. When you have a social services issue, you call the appropriate social service, and when you have criminals engaged in criminal activity, you call the police — unless the criminals are elected officials, at which time you put it on YouTube.
