It is clear that Obama’s orders to kill good jobs in Pima County have reached the local Democrat leaders. Jeff Rogers is toeing the party line – no new extractive industry projects- just as the EPA is doing with their continuing position on the vital Rosemont project.
Pima County – dump these job-killing jerks and do something for the Tucson’s middle class by supporting good, well paying jobs that benefit Arizona and America.

While TW readers and politicians may be for or against mining efforts in Pima County, they have not shown any desire to make Pima County a place of well paying jobs or any humane worker protections. There are many businesses and industries in Tucson operating questionably for years that illustrate this point.
We have read about the most recent examples in recent articles about locally mismanaged animal care facilities, the 292 victim car wash, the school for deaf and blind’s retaliation, the serial harassment at the community college with the 4 still un-removed board members, the near-fatality and coverup at the water district, and the initiative to essentially bankrupt through privatization our city worker’s pensions.
If there is interest in accountability or support for the middle class public from this Pima County Supervision, it remains unseen and thus appears unlikely to change under the entrenched leadership. All the big money appears to be on keeping things just exactly as they are now, and to continue quietly renewing the same old contracts with grossly unaccountable managers for as long as possible. It’s no secret.
