GQ’s year-end “Least Influential People Alive” list by Deadspin contributor Drew Magary is an entertaining read, especially for the brutal takedown of MSNBC’s Ed Schultz: “Hannity is a piece of shit, but at least he can get your average 85-year-old, gay-hating, gold-hoarding grandma to tune in. Then there are pundits like Schultz.” However, it might surprise some people who earned to top spot as least influential, ahead of Tiger Woods’ former caddy and failed-rapture-predictor Harold Camping. Congrats/condolences to America’s most prominent undercover Muslim, Barack Obama:
Okay, so we’re cheating a bit with this one. He did order the raid that wiped Osama bin Laden off the face of the earth. But then he used that surplus of political capital to let everyone in Washington stick a boot in his ass. This is a man who should be the most transformational figure of the century. Hell, he promised to be that. Instead he wields all the power of a substitute teacher at night school.
I thought for sure the lawyer who couldn’t get a conviction for Casey Anthony might have earned the top spot, but at least GQ‘s choice should please some of the cranks in our comment section.

This article in GQ looks like something that will be in the Weekly in October along with its endorsement of the lamest president since Carter. And don’t give me” well he at least got Bin Laden…..SEALS got bin laden…barry just took credit for it and decided to use it for political gain , instead of reaping a treasure trove of intelligence gathered from the raid. Ouch. I guess folks love their pundits. A President can only lead so far when un-educated creeps dig in their heels at every turn. There is no collaboration, no compromise, nothing short of foaming at the mouth lunacy happening in congress. Each President is left to pick up where the last left off. It doesn’t matter who followed Former President Bush, the same mess would have been there to clean up. The stimulus plan could have worked had there been cooperation across the board. When Congress fails to act, especially when it is polar in majority to the President, nothing is accomplished. Who’s fault is that? Former President Reagan’s policies were devastating to the middle class (ironically the largest conservative group) as were Former President Bush’s policies. Yet, the people most hurt economically and whose individual rights were violated support them the most. Go figure. I suppose the question is: Are they gluttons for punishment?

President Obama has been working with the most hateful and dishonest republicans who have no concern for this country and no concern for job creation or for helping the economy recover. The failure is all at the feet of the GOP who ruined the economy and started wars that were not paid for. So that is why we have the huge deficit and it is Bush and republicans who now want to cut all the benefits of the middle class and workers who need them. But they sure won’t tax anyone that is super rich because they bow to that lobbyist Grover Norquist against taxes for the wealthy, but they will tax the middle class. That is fine.
It was President Obama that made that decision to go get bin Laden in Pakistan and it was his decision that they would practice and get their plans down to the tiniest possibility. That was all President Obama and was all the military working together and it was done because the president said the mission was a go. Oh how the GOP would have howled if the mission failed. But it was so successful and it was a success for everyone including the Commander in Chief who was involved in every faction. Trash talk by republicans is so sad and pathetic.
Everywhere in this country there are right wing nitwits who believe all the hate and lies of the republicans whose policies are for the super wealthy and are harmful to the environment, to job creation, to the economy recovering and are rabidly against success for this country.
