Why have we been wasting our time trying to enact social and economic change via the legislative process? Really, we all could have saved ourselves a lot of time taking our troubles to the real boss, the King Solomon of our time, Bill O’Reilly:


Fifteen years into the role, O’Reilly’s success—his primetime cable competitors don’t come close to his ratings—has brought wealth and, as he is happy to assert, the power of influence. “I have more power than anybody other than the president, in the sense that I can get things changed, quickly,” he says. “I don’t have to go through the legislative process; I don’t have to do any of that. I can just bring it to the people, and say, look, this has gotta be dealt with.”

  1. You showed me, DBCOOK. Then again, Bill’s quite a bit older than I am, so I have some time to catch up. All I have to do is develop a massive ego and start being wrong about nearly everything. I’ll be right on track!

  2. Just because conversation on The Factor includes actual news stories does not make it a news show. The ladies on The View talk about actual news too, but they don’t try to pass it off as a news show. PS: Bill’s line about “the biggest cable news show on television” is misleading — he still only has 5% of the news-watching audience. And John Stewart’s show is WAY bigger than Bill’s, but since John correctly doesn’t try to pass off his show as news, Bill doesn’t have to include it in his skewed “ratings”. News ratings are available on the web for all to see.

  3. If Bill was really that concerned about these kids, he wouldn’t join the rest of FoxNews in shouting down social and educational programs designed to help those same kids. These kids are products of their environment. If the environment is bad, how are the kids going to turn out?

    PS: I was really hoping those two home boys would jump Bill and give him a well-deserved beat down. I’d pay to see that.

  4. with all this supporting of Jon Stewart and beating up on people (colson & nic atnight) I can see why the black community is at the place they are. The number 1 killer of Black Youth is Black Youth. Blacks in prison at an overwhelming percentage because they can rationalize bad behavior and decision on look what others do. And 85% of all black babies are born into fartherless households. And the rapper said you need to talk to the parents for allowing them to view what I produce. Even Enimen wont allow his children to watch what he produces at least he acknowldges the harm in his videos, And Madona hides in Europe so she can control what enfluences her children are exposed too. And kept away from her productions.
