Dan Shearer of the Green Valley News shares an intriguing tidbit about Congressional District 8 Republican Brian Miller:
So he was invited in to talk to somebody from Young Guns. That’s a group that identifies potential movers in the GOP and helps them along in their bids for a House seat.
Who wouldn’t want the help? Well, turns out Miller didn’t once he found out the price.
Miller would have essentially had to give up control of everything and let them take over, he told me. Young Guns wanted “unlimited access” to his campaign, told him he could only use their approved vendors, and said that they would be making all of his strategic decisions.
Miller walked out of the meeting, turned to his aide and said, “We won’t be working with them.”

This guy has a lot of nerve. Bragging about rejecting the Young Guns and then hopping into bed with the establishment candidate, Paton, to take Kelly out. Wonder how all of his anti-establishment supporters will feel about him once they figure that one out?
Linda, What in the world are you talking about? I have heard Miller criticize Paton on many occasions (always on issues, not personal). Why would he get “in bed with him”? I like the fact that Miller is not always trading jabs back and forth like Patton and Kelly. He sticks to his issues which are very educated. Also, last I heard Kelly was the one trying to get Miller out of the race (with a bribe, if that rumor was true). Anyway, Linda, maybe you should reconsider your choice of candidate.
Sara, you obviously were not at the N.W. Az CD-8 Debate back in, I think, February. There, in his closing remarks, Brian forgot about Reagan’s 11th Commandment.
So maybe Brian was the first, but Patton and Kelly do it on a daily basis in there e-mails. I am on both e-mail lists and I think the whole back and forth is stupid. I have not heard Miller change his positions from when he started running and that shows integrity.
Linda’s right. Look closely – Miller has stopped attacking Paton and both their supporters seem pretty chummy. Just last week, Sara, Miller and Paton both sent out an email attacking Kelly. Seems like a coordinated effort to me. And that so called rumor, the one Miller and his minions started about Kelly – they have had NOTHING to back that up with. Notice how it completely went away. Miller has been lying since day one. He will say anything to get ahead – the guy has zero integrity. I wouldn’t be surprised if this whole Young Guns thing is a complete lie. Has anyone checked it out? The only reason his lying goes unnoticed is because he isn’t a threat in the race – he’s more of a joke.
@Linda, You are so funny or paranoid! Miller in Paton’s Camp … you’ve got to be out of your ever loving mind! Brian Miller will be kicking both of your camp butts. Jesse’s anti-establishment rhetoric only started when McCain turned down the begging Jesse Kelly’s continual request for an endorsement. Jesse has some serious problems with Integrity, Intelligence, Education and I’ll throw in Ethics/Moral to boot!!!
@Todd, You really need to keep up with these campaigns, but I do believe that “Conspiracy Theorie” are in vogue. As far as your comments on the Young Guns … I know for fact that it is true, so Jesse Kelly and Jonathan Paton are in bed with the Young Guns! How cozy it must be for the Republican establishment!
Well, there you go. Del Dawley (who is also Nathan in the above post), a proven liar and who also works for the Miller campaign, KNOWS this is true. Del, do you do anything but sit in front of your computer all day and spread lies? I’m starting to feel embarrassed for you.

Say what you want … nobody listens to you … call me what you will; however, I have proof for any of my allegations! What do you have … nothing! I happen to be a part of the Miller campaign who you say is so “chummy” with the Paton campaign. I can tell you that what you see is mutual respect from the two campaigns. I have zero respect for the Kelly camp and have seen way to many things behind the public persona from Kelly that contradicts what he portrays to voters. I won’t speak for the others from our camp but I can say this is the first time I have ever been involved in politics and what I have seen out of Kelly is exactly what people are so angry at from our government. If for some crazy reason Kelly should win the primary, Giffords would be in office another term. The reason you see so much against Kelly is because people are sick of the fake performance he gives to voters while showing everyone else his real attitude, which is cocky and unethical. No there is no “hopping into bed” Linda. Just a mutual concern for our district’s political future should Kelly win. We would all suffer more than we have with Gabby.
RINO Hunter is spot on about Del. The guy is crazy and a joke. And now Jen Ketchum has joined the party? You two are seriously pathetic. Nobody reads or cares what you think. I can’t wait for this primary to be over, Miller to be old news, and to never have to hear from either of you again. Goodness knows after both of your behavior, you will never work in politics.
@Tim, you Jesse Kelly supporters attack other candidate supporters … seems that Jesse Kelly and his staff, volunteers and supporters are running scared! Why else would you attack the supporters and not the issues at hand. I challenge all you Kelly supporters to point out any lie I’ve made!!! I know you’ll not be able to as all I have stated is the truth … sorry, I can’t say that Tim’s, RINO’s, Todd’s or Linda’s are as truthful!
